I’ve always grounded myself in the act of painting, first and foremost, as it’s own element to be explored. In 2009, I began working on a concentrated series of works entirely from my imagination. These unique, small- to medium-scale improvisations became an essential part of my practice, offering opportunities for experimentation and surprise, that naturally led to my interest in large-scale geometric abstraction.
